RIN 1.1 Update Implemented by Sound Credit Platform-Wide

MEMPHIS, TENN., SEPTEMBER 22, 2020 – Sound Credit has completed an update implementing the DDEX RIN 1.1 format and the release went live last week, platform-wide.

DDEX published the RIN 1.0 standard in January 2017. Months later, the RIN-M software by Sound Credit, was the first-ever software release to implement the standard.

Sound Credit and PPL partner to improve performers’ music credits

Sound Credit is now working with PPL to improve the quality of performer line-up data on recordings. Sound Credit is a platform consisting of a plug-in and desktop app, that makes it easier for creators to collect, edit and deliver music credits. The platform will now allow a performer’s International Performer Number (IPN) to be added to the recording’s metadata, ensuring more accurate contributor information.
